1991 – S & J attend Tubman Middle School, but are unaware of each other

1994 – S & J attend Jefferson High School where they officially meet and become best            friends

1994 – S & J (along with Sophia) spend many hours after school recycling for Jefferson’s            environmental club

1995 – S keeps J company while his torn ligament heals

1995 – J rides the bus with S to her very first job interview (at Fred Meyer)

1996 – September – S & J become King & Queen of photo club at Jefferson – just before            the trip to Kaiser where S removes stitches from J’s head

1996 – November 22 – S & J's first kiss, which marks the beginning of their new            relationship

1997 – January – S & J’s first joint birthday party

1997 – S & J take tap dancing class together

1997 – S & J go to prom together

1997 – Road trip to Yosemite & Disneyland with Linch family

1997 – S leaves for Oberlin and the year-long long-distance relationship begins

1998 – J joins S at Oberlin & they share ½ of a divided-double dorm room!

1998 – S & J learn pottery

1999 – S & J take horseback riding lessons

1999 – S & J (with Sophia) open a Saturday Market booth where they sell Japanese            sand gardens and handmade purses

2000 – S & J visit New York – Thank you Lynn & Pipo!

2000 – S & J get their first car – SpeedRacer – a 1980 Ford Fairmont

2000 – Podi joins the family

2000 – S & J move off campus into their first apartment

2000 – S & J attend their first (of many) NIN concerts together

2001 – S & J’s bowling team (The Pin Conspiracy) wins Oberlin College bowling league            tournament – shiny trophies are obtained

2002 – S & J teach the Art of Craft EXCO at Oberlin

2002 – May – S & J complete their senior art show and graduate from Oberlin

2002 – S & J drive across the country, stopping in Reno and surviving a tornado in            Nebraska, all in 5 days!

2002 – J starts work at Catlin Gabel School (first full-time, after college, job)! Oh, and            as a result starts drinking coffee!

2003 – S starts work at Lewis & Clark College

2003 – S & J learn how to quilt with Catlin friends

2004 – S joins the gang and starts work at Catlin Gabel School

2004 – February – S & J move into a house on Oberlin Street in Portland

2004 – S & J start pottery painting at Mimosa Studios

2005 – J starts work at Evosus Solutions

2005 – S & J launch freelance businesses

2005 – November – S & J get engaged on their 9th anniversary

2006 – S & J buy their first house

2006 – Meko joins the family

2007 – S starts work at InsideTrack

2008 – March 1 – S & J get married and celebrate with friends and family
